Jinghan KE is a PhD student in the International Graduate Programme for East Asia Sustainable Economic Development Studies in the Graduate School of Economics, Kyoto University, Japan. She received M.Agr. from the Graduate School of Agriculture in Kyoto University; double B.A. respectively from Henan University, China, and Kogakkan University, Japan. She initially researched about food safety issue of China with a focus on pesticide use behavior and cognition of smallholders as well as vegetable supply mechanism among Chinese peasants, using the approach of agricultural economics. Now she is researching the alternative food networks of China and investigating the emerging food initiatives in vegetable provisioning system in a Chinese "San Nong" context, looking for the solution for vegetable safety issue and furthermore the realization of sustainable agriculture in China. She has presented several reports respectively in The Agricultural Marketing Society of Japan annual meeting 2016; WU-KU International Graduate Workshop 2016,2015; Agricultural Economics Society of Japan Annual Meeting 2015; International Conference on Food Security and Rural Development 2014; the 1st International Academic Conference for Graduate Students of Nanjing Agricultural University 2014.
